Morning Skills Stations

  • Emergency Surgical Airway Skills - Emergency pediatric cricothyroidotomy and tracheostomy

  • Difficult Airway Management - Difficult pediatric intubations using various tools such as video laryngoscope, retromolar Bonfil’s, etc.

  • Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) - RUSH (Rapid Ultrasound for Shock and Hypotension) protocol 

Lunch and Learn (optional) 

  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) publications - Interactive discussion relating to recent key PEM articles

    OR

  • POCUS-assisted nerve blocks (limited to 6 participants)

Afternoon High-Impact Simulations

  • Royal College-approved pediatric emergency medicine simulation cases

  • 4 participants/group, hands-on, interactive

  • Multidisciplinary team including nurses and respiratory therapists

Please note the language of instruction for this course is English, however all questions can be asked and answered in both English and French.
